Head Coach
Jana Costner
Jana Costner is a native of Franklin, Tennessee. She is a 2002 graduate of Western Kentucky University. While there, she majored in Spanish and was a double minor in International Business and Marketing. She is a former member of the Lady Hilltopper Women’s Basketball program. Jana earned her masters degree in Spanish from la Universidad de Salamanca 2010 (Salamanca, Spain) and has an Endorsement in Instructional Technology from Georgetown College 2022.
Coach Costner is in her 18th year as an educator and this is her 12th season as a basketball coach. She has coached high school basketball in Nashville, TN; Houston, TX, Southern Indiana and Louisville, KY. In 2015, she was named Kentucky’s 7th Region Coach of the Year. From 2018-2021, she was an assistant and interim head coach for Spalding University of Louisville, KY.
Shay Wilson
Coach Wilson is a graduate of Tates Creek High School and this year will mark her fourth season as an Assistant Coach with the Tates Creek High Women’s Basketball program.
Coach Shay, attended Midway University out of high school and was a member of the Midway Eagles basketball program. Shay went on to earn her Bachelor’s in Science at the University of Kentucky. She is currently working towards a Masters degree in Education at the University of Louisville.
